SOHO FACTORY - HALL 19

An extraordinary semi-basement space of 1000 sqm acquired a brand new image after what used to be a wreck of a building was turned into a spacious event venue.

The sunken pathway lined with trees, which leads to the main entrance, was paved with concrete slabs. Brick walls were reinforced, concrete flooring was installed and the space was roofed with a lightweight wooden structure and corrugated polyester sheets.  The interior was painted white, creating a peaceful gallery space filled with natural light. The exterior brick walls were painted black to create a backdrop for the surrounding vegetation.

Simple but powerful, the interventions helped create an extraordinary art space regularly rented for exhibitions and events.
