The location of this design was unique: it was created right behind the wall of our office. Our role also went beyond the standard scope because, in addition to the design, we were responsible for the organisation of the construction site.
The design assumed creating comfortable working space and personal customer meeting rooms, with a total area of about 150m². The remaining area of about 250m² has been planned as a multifunctional space for various events, such as workshops and exhibitions.
The arrangement was based on the assumption of inserting a new independent structure into the existing hall: in this case a wooden, two-storey, sculpted block with abundant glazing. Thanks to this, the large scale and original character of the space has not been damaged.
The open part of the hall was renovated and illuminated by adding steel-glass shop windows and a skylight. The interior has been painted in a unified colour constituting a background for the new structure and for the introduced greenery.
The internal space has been extended by terraces: the entrance and recreation terrace, with a characteristic brick chimney. Greenery has been designed for both terraces.
