The main goal was to create a functional space that houses the Museum’s reception desk, BookOff bookstore and eMeSen cafe.
All furnishings aresituated with the intention of leaving as much open space as possible.
Mirrored café counter is located in a niche near the stairs. Steel bookcases surround the central column and go along the walls. Sitting area fills up the spaces between facade pilars.
New elements are designed taking into account the existing modern aesthetic of the interior and Monika Sosnowska’s functional sculpture ‘Krata’.
A modest palette of materials is applied to simple forms and rough edges.
